Pros: Decent speed, cheap toner, fast
Cons: Draws too much power, expensive drum, poor service
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't buy this printer if I were you. Go with an HP model.

I have had this laser printer for about 3 years now. I liked it all before the printer died. The page count on the printer is about 10,061 and the printer wanted a new drum. So, I drove over to Office Depot and bought a $170 drum, I paid $200 for the printer. I thought that was outragous. I get home, install the drum and the printer was fine for about a month. Then, I had major problems. I starting noticing the toner was not melted on the pages in some areas. This made me angry because the toner would simply WIPE-OFF in areas. I contacted Brother by e-mail and they told me that I needed to take it to a serivce center to replace the FUSER. I asked about how much it costs and Brother told me "about $150 for the parts, not including labor." I said FORGET IT. I took this printer to the dump and returned an extra toner at Office Depot. Then I went over and bought a HP LaserJet 1320. I have always loved HP but decided to try Brother. Worst choice of my life. The best thing about HP is they put the toner and drum together. I would never buy again from Brother. Now, save your-self and buy an HP model.
One more comment: This printer also draws a HUGE amount of power. The lights in my home office dim when this thing is printing and warming-up.
UPDATE: I have had the HP LaserJet for almost a year now. LOVE IT! The duplex feature is also a plus. Page count on the HP: 5,684. My office at work bought a Brother HL-5280DW which seems to work okay so far. The only difference is the Brother has wireless networking an a 3-color LCD.
