| Kristoff's Full Review: Panasonic CT-27G34 27 inch TV |
Prior to purchasing my Panasonic Television, I was under the impression that the only way to get a great picture quality was to purchase an expensive television from sony or a manufacturer focused around high-end equipment. I was wrong ...
I took a chance and purchased a Panasonic Television. When I got it home, I was amazed at the quality of it's picture. I read up on it a bit more, and found out that Panasonic uses a Shadowmask Technology which lowers the contrast and covers up quite a few glitches with a regular television signal. If you would like to see how it works, simply load a graphic with lots of detail onto your computer screen, turn the contrast all the way up, that would be a sony television equivalent, and then turn it down by about 20% and this is what a panasonic will do for you.
The remote is simple and easy to use. It's universal which allows you to access other panasonic hardware, thus eliminating extra remotes. One nice thing with all panasonic hardware is the speed at which a "pressed button" on a remote actually executes it's function. You hit it, it's done, no delay. On quite a few "other" manfacturers, you'll notice a bit of a delay after you hit that button.
The on screen setup menus are idiot proof, and those with little knowledge will easily guide themselves through it. The features available to a user are great, these include custom sound environments, color and contrast manipulation, and several audio/video inputs for your external peripherals (ie . Nintendo 64, Sega, etc).
I encourage you to have a salesperson demo any of the panasonic line up of televisions. See the different for yourself.
