Music production is on the way up around the world, and everyone wants the easy way to do it. FruityLoops is certainly easy.
The program is a straightforward sequencer. Basically, the program comes with stock samples, which you load into the step sequencer. You then combine samples into songs by writing patterns (done by inserting sample "hits" into the step sequencer). These patterns are inserted into the playlist, a sequencer of sorts for the separate patterns. Once these patterns are completed, you can string them together and complete a song, which you can export into various formats.
Although its marketing scheme suggests otherwise, Image-Line Software has created a (nearly) professional tool. Although its look is short of professional, its use is easy and can produce amazing results. The stock sounds are limited, but FruityLoops is infinitely expansible. Just obtain samples and import them, and you can use them. FL also uses plugins, which is a big plus. These plugins allow for even more possibilities.
The main advantage of this program is its ease of use. A five-year-old child could experiment with it, and create something (having fun all the while!). Learning to use the program can be a long process, but it's a fun one. Experiment with it, and you'll discover what it can do. By reading tutorials, trying things out, and generally just messing around, you'll learn to use it and will be able to create songs.
Every aspect of this program is easy to use, but it still has professional potential and certain functions will be more difficult to use for a lot of people. However, you can still create tracks without going under in the world of filter cutoff, track compression, equalization and the like.
