Pros: This is a great little beginner camcorder.

The Bottom Line: This is a great little camcorder to get if you are just beginning and do not want to spend a whole lot of money.

| Debbietipton's Full Review: RCA CC6151 VHS Analog Camcorder |
My husband decided that he wanted a camcorder so that we would always have the memories of our children growing up. We did not want to miss a single minute of this precious time. We decided that for our first machine, we would go as inexpensive as we could. The RCA CC6151 is a good little beginner camcorder. I would probably not recommend it for the more advanced user.
Here are a few beginning instructions for the first time use of you camcorder:
1.) Attach the charger: The battery must be charged before you can use it for the first time.
* connect one end of the DC cable to the DC out jack on the charger
* connect the other end of the DC cable to the DC in jack on the camcorder
* plug charger into wall plug
**This took about twelve hours to fully charge for the first time**
2.)Adjust hand strap to fit your hand.
3.) Slide Lens Cover control to open lens cover.
4.) Insert a tape.
* slide the eject button up and the holder will open automatically
* turn the tape wheel on the cassette to remove any slack
* press push until cassette holder locks into place
5.) Set power (camera/off/VCR) to camera.
6.) Adjust the view finder and eye piece focus control.
* You can see what you are recording in the viewfinder
* SP Standard play will provide the best picture, but the shortest recording time (only 20 minutes with a PC-20 tape)
* SLP Extended play (offers 60 minutes with a TC-20 tape) but also has more picture noise during playback.
8.) Select tape length
9.) Set AE dial to audio
Now it is time to start recording and having some fun. There are a life time of memories to be gained, so go out and get them!
How to Power this Camcorder:
The charger attaches to the camcorder and lets you power the camcorder directly from your home power source.
The adapter operates on 100-240 volts. You must use the battery to power your camcorder.
Charge the battery:
1.) Plug the charger into the nearest outlet.
2.) If the battery is connected properly the charge light indicator will be flashing.
3.) After the battery is fully charged, the charge indicator will stop flashing and light.
4.) Remove the charged battery by sliding it off of the charger.
5.) Attach the charged battery to the camcorder.
Accessories:
Date and Time Display: The clock indicator flashes for a few seconds in the viewfinder when you turn on the camcorder so that you can see if anything needs changing.
Time-Remaining Display
Quick Record Feature: The quick record feature allows you to record for five seconds to provide for short scene transitions.
Quick Review Feature

Create Your Own Title
Like I said earlier, this is a good little beginner camcorder. It has brought us many memories and I am glad that we started out with an easy to use model. Now that my husband has more experience and has grown past this model, he wants one that gives a little clearer picture and has more functions on it. With increased function, will come increased cost.
