| momentum1's Full Review: Canon MultiPASS MP730 All-In-One InkJet Printer |
So far I have had the Multi-function for a few days and I am impressed. I have been able to print, scan and copy like a pro and I have used it for printing photos and documents, scanning photos and documents and printing envelopes. I was able to print and scan simultaneously without it missing a beat and from what the salespeople at CompUSA had told me of the HP's is that they cannot do both at once. They said that no Multi-function print and scan at the same time.
Some of the other printers like HP and Epson are more visually appealing but my history with HP usually ends up with it on the floor in pieces due to its tendency to print a few lines of garbled characters on a page for numerous pages. Pressing the off button does not stop it either. When turning back on it resumes it's printing of garbage.
The MP730 is in my home office which is in my living room in my one bedroom apartment. I had an Epson Stylus in the past which made lots of noise and if it did not print for a week it would have to be cleaned which would take about 5-10 minutes. Sometimes while I am printing with the Canon I have to go over to it to see if it is actually printing since it is barely audible.
To sum it up I needed an office worthy photo quality printer and scanner with an auto-document feeder with little noise and a small footprint. This was the best one that I found regardless of price.
