| andooo's Full Review: Canon Optura 20 Mini DV Camcorder |
My first impressions of this digital camera appear to be exactly following those at www.dvspot.com. The camera is very good, the quality is high (Canon optics seem to be good in general) and I am mostly satisfied.
The only major problem I have noticed so far is the continuous motor noise which is noticable in low noise conditions. I did experiment with the "wind filter" but it seemed to have little effect. Not surprising really when it is a completely different type of noise...
I have also been playing with Pinnacle Studio 8, which is available as a 30 day trial at the moment. The quality of the shots you get from the camera and this SW package is amazing.,
The no light, or night light shooting scenario is completely useless, unless you are not intended to move the camera at all. It could be useful for filming your kids whilst sleeping but that is about all. The results are just too jerky.
All in all very good first impressions.
