Thanks... (Reply to this comment)

for your detailed description and rating of this camera. I'm bogged down in info on digital cameras while trying to find one to give my Mom in time for an African Safari trip. You've helped a bunch and cleared up some questions I didn't even know to ask!

I Couldn't Have Asked For Much More Help (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for the excellent review. Your review confirms my feelings that when I get a digital camera it will definitely be from the Powershot G family. Now I just have to figure out how to get the money because I think I will be mightily disappointed if I settle for any less.

I checked with my friend and the G2 enlargements were printed on photo paper with an HP1215. The G2 weighs 18 ozs. Howard

Excellent Review (Reply to this comment)
by Ed.Williamson
again as is your norm, Howard. I have loved Canons for the last 30 years. I still may hold out for the G3 or so, just to get the added insurance factor of the 5MP if I do get one of these (cautious and conservative person that I am in these matters), but you not only have a great description of the evolution of the camera and a nice description of a trial shoot, but you have covered the camera's specs as well. Wondered what printer you printed the digital's prints with. Did I miss the weight of the camera? As a climber I am somewhat weight conscious of what I carry up a mountain. Maybe it was in the review; I'll go back and look. Either way this is worth an MH.
