| cmashby's Full Review: Bazooka EL10A-HP Car Subwoofer |
I must say that after years of working in car audio and participating in competitions, Bazooka 'tubes' are the biggest disgrace to quality car audio and clarity that I've ever experienced. They are a cheap and easy substitute for the 'boom' people want. They don't have anywhere near the clarity or "punch" of a true subwoofer in the properly tuned enclosure. Their sound is sloppy and muffled and I've never ever seen anyone using bazooka tubes win an audio competition or for that matter even get praise from anyone except for decibel contest or that it's "loud". I cannot stress enough how much happier a person would be with a nice set of 10" subwoofers in the right box with the proper amplifier than someone who throws a "tube" in their car and pushed out the audio shop door by a salesperson who didn't think they could afford better.
