the guy on this site who owns the car stereo shop DOES know what he is talking about, but he does not quite know what he is talking about to the extent that this is a quality subwoofer and to power this beast you must throw some money its way. This is not a cheap subwoofer, so do not throw a 500 dollar amp its way and whine about it. If you have money then you can buy this and get quality, but do not buy it on the intentions of just having this subwoofer and making it blast anyways! I have two of these subwoofers in a custom black pearl fiberglass enclosure, with two rockford fostgate 1001 amps powering them. not to mention a battery for each of them. i have got all of these things half price so it was easy for me, but this would of been a 5000 dollar system not to mention the Alpine touch screen flip up supporting it. If you can afford it,do it, if not..dont bother wasting your time.One of my freinds has 3 W7 12's in his car and that sounds weak compared to mine. My system (and ive had quite a few systems)hits super hard and actually blows cold wind in my car if you play the right bass songs.However one of my ear drums has gotten slightly damaged due to these woofers..maybe im weak i donno. p.s - dont play rock or anything like this guy did..this is a hard hitting rap bass woofer!! - peace!
