kevancullin's Full Review: Alpine CDA-9805 Car CD/ MP3 Player
For around 200 dollars you can get this alpine unit in your car playing your favorite CDs! I was reluctant at first. I've always been a huge fan of Pioneer, but I realized that pioneer is just a rip off and it's not what I really wanted. First off this unit matches the interior of my car flawlessly! That was a big selling point. It's dark and has green back-lit buttons. (Gross) but still matches better then a silver and blue player. Secondly, as stated in another review, the first thing I noticed were the heatsink and the fan. I mean dear lord! if it needs a heat-sink and a rather large fan on the back it's gotta be doing something right! Then I installed it into my 1995 Celica and realized what those two heat control units were used for it! I popped in the new Hoobastank album and it was pure magic! I still have stock speakers in my car but it did sound better, no doubt about it! Then after getting it just the way i wanted it i was very happy! When you look at this best you just see raw; brute strength! Even the face-plate sticks out a little more because it doesn't pop down like some do. (Which was another selling point) I can't stand having to flip down the faceplate to put a CD in! All in all this unit is an AWESOME value and would recommend it over and over again for those that aren't looking for the fancy stuff like CDText, Mp3, and a 60x4 amp!
