My wife and I just bought a brand new 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade last month. It's a great car/truck!

We love the look of the Renegade. Unlike other Liberty line, it got more ragged look (larger grill, flatter hood, off road fog lamps etc.), and the face looks more like Jeep Wrangler than Liberty.

The tires came with were Wrangler ST (All Season) tires. Since we go to National Forests a lot, we changed to Wrangler AT/S (All Terrain) tires. (It should come with AT or MT tires.)

It's comfortable to drive on freeway and in the city. The drive is more like a big truck than a passenger car (especially with AT tires). Stiff and a little bouncy - which makes it fun to drive! It is very stable, good handling and good braking!

It's very fun to drive off road! We've went for off road test drive a couple of times already in Cascades. It drove through sticky cray-like mud, cross the water paddle (about 1~2ft. deep), drove up the steep gravel/dirt.snow mixed hill EASILY without any problem...all with 4WD High. We haven't go to
use 4 LO yet...need to be more extreme condition or terrain to use it. (Maybe after heavy snow in the mountain!)
