I purchased this vehicle to replace a 2003 Corolla that my children were outgrowing. I have 3 children, now ages 4,8,and 12. My wife and I are now quite pleased that they continue to fit well, and it appears the car will continue to accommodate them for the next several years.
Driving Impressions
The Camry starts and runs flawlessly. The ride is quiet and smooth, even over periods of rough roads. Acceleration is ample enough to merge into highway traffic without worry. Steering is responsive and nimble for everyday driving.
Interior
The front seats are comfortable, and the power seat helps you find a reasonable driving position. As I mentioned above, my 3 children fit safely and securely in the back seat. I have a car seat in the LATCH position on the right side and a backless booster in the middle. Numerous bins and pockets hold all of your important items. The gauges and controls are easy to read and logically organized. The trunk is huge and should be large enough to fit suitcases for a family of five preparing to embark on a weekend road trip.
Safety
ABS is standard. I opted for the side curtain airbags, as I believe they add an important, and relatively inexpensive, measure of safety during a side impact.
Fuel Economy
I receive about 25 mpg in mostly city driving.
