Pros:Removable arm band, wide zipper mouth, internal mesh pockets.
Cons:Expensive, not waterproof, some MP3 players won't fit.
The Bottom Line: A good case for smaller electronics but a few drawbacks that you need to know about before you think about getting one.

For a long time I refused to give up my portable CD players in exchange for a smaller MP3 player. That all changed when I got the Philips SA4010. Instead of having a maximum of about fifteen songs to listen to, I now had over a hundred with plenty of room to spare. With that came the fumbling and bumbling of the MP3 unit; it was so much smaller and lighter that it got tossed around at the gym or when I was out for a walk. I had other MP3 cases around the house but wanted something that I could use specifically for this player. I settled with the MPC-6 when I came across it on sale for $9.99 and figured that even though it was a little too big for the Philips player I could carry a few spare batteries in it and any small necessities like a key or debit card. This is a great way to protect your smaller electronics but you really do have to do some thinking about whether it is the best choice for your needs.
Case Logic MP3 Player Case MPC-6
This case comes with a removable neoprene lined wrap that can be worn on the arm, wrist or hand. If you are a jogger you will probably find this most comfortable if you hold it in your hand with the wrap secured on the outside portion of your wrist but that is all personal preference. I opted to remove the wrap and wear this tucked in the pants of my sweatpants or slipped in the back of my sport bra. It is a little on the bulky side compared to other MP3 player cases but on the same token you have a little extra internal room. There is a lead hole for your headphones to run through; if you use your MP3 player around the house and outside of this case getting the wire and in out can be a little frustrating because eventually you will end up screwing up the wires and the headphones will be trashed. If you can, buy one set of headphones that you can leave threaded through the hole and simply remove the MP3 player when you want to use it outside the case.
One of the things that I like about this case is the zipper, you dont have to fumble with something that only opens a few inches. This spans from one side to the other so you can get accessory items like headphones and batteries, in and out of the case without standing there jamming them into it. I am extremely anal about the face of my MP3 player and try my hardest to keep it from getting scratched up. Since there are two internal mesh pockets to the case I can put the player in one of them and the accessories in the other or use the pockets for the extra batteries and headphones. One thing I have noticed about the pockets on all the Case Logic products I own is that they are pretty damn strong. Unless you are really jamming an obscene amount of things inside them they won't rip or show any signs of stress.
This is designed to fit MP3 players that are the size of an iPod or in that general range, The inside measurements according to the package sleeve is four and a half inches high, three inches wide and an inch and a half deep. The outside measurements are a little larger than that but at least you have the ability to roughly gauge whether or not your MP3 player or electronic device will fit inside it. If you are the type of person that is always adjusting the volume or skipping songs this might not be a good pick because you will have to constantly open and close the case unless you have a remote control or some type of a control pad on the headphone cord. I almost bought a paid of headphones that had just such a control on it but didnt want to spend the $40.00 on them without knowing for sure that they would work with the Philips MP3 player.
Are there any downsides to this? Well, depending on the size of your player it could be a tight fit and if you don't have a lock out on the volume and play modes you could accidentally advance a few tracks or adjust the volume. As much as I love my MP3 player, it doesn't have a way to 'keyguard' the controls so if I shove the case and player in my pocket or bump it, there is always a chance that things are going to get messed up. Case Logic says that this has a neoprene weather resistant material but they dont tell you where that is located. This will protect your MP3 player from dust and dirt and a minimal amount of sweat but it is not water proof and will offer you no protection from humidity. If you work out in a very hot and humid gym this might not be the best choice for a MP3 case because it could end up doing more damage than good in the long run.
The Bottom Line
This has a suggested retail price of $14.99 but I got it for $9.99 and considered it a pretty good deal. For my MP3 player it is fine but I can see how other larger ones would pose a problem getting it in and out as well as the buttons getting pressed accidentally. According to the package this has a 25 year warranty, chances are this will be trashed in two years and will be replaced with something better when the time comes. Modifications to the case and misuse will automatically void the warranty as it only covers workmanship and general product defects for as long as you own it. So far I have only seen this in one color, black with gray side accents. It is a light weight case that does offer your electronics some added protection when at the gym or out of the house but if you are super rough on things this case really isn't going to give you the protect that you need.
As always, thanks for the visit
