| imy01's Full Review: Casio WMP-1V Watch |
After buying my casio camera watch, I kinda became a watch collector. I wanted the flashy and creative multifunction watches, and I was definitely satisfied with this one.
The volume could be a little louder, but its more than you'd expect a little watch with a four hour battery life to sound like. The docking cradle to recharge the battery can be a bit clunky at times, but otherwise it operates fine. The earphones that come with this watch are excellent for it.
The physical appeal of the watch is very complex. I actually had a friend call it a "watch to stop time", it is so large and advanced looking. If it were smaller it would definitely appeal to a much wider range of people. The safety straps make this watch almost impossible to fall off of your wrist, no matter what you're doing. Just because its a watch doesn't mean that you have to wear it on your wrist though. I've been able to put this player almost anywhere, snake the earphones under my clothes, and have private music unknown to anyone around me. The player is fine in the pocket and NEVER SKIPS. This makes it the BEST for joggers and other active people. The selective bit rates are also a nice feature.
When I say dancing pictures in the pros section, I mean a piece of software on the accompanying CD that allows you to write a moving image during music play. You simply color in which dots the screen will shade throughout 16 frames to create a moving image. It can be tricky at first, but after you get the hang of it you can make very nice designs. The music uploading part is also very simple. For bitrate changing and other conversions I would recommend Musicmatch.
Every detail of this watch screams futuristic. I've gotten so many astonished looks when people ask to see the watch when they notice the size of it and see the play/pause button on the front. I'd recommend this watch to people who have use of it,, or else want a great piece to add to a collection.
