Pros: For the value you pay, this telescope is an absolute hit!

Cons: The power in the 8 AA batteries runs out in half a night!

The NexStar 8i is a truly state-of-the-art telescope. With the XLT coating, it enhances some of the most fascinating objects in the sky.

The 2-star alignment mechanism even makes it easy for a child to set this telescope up in minutes! With 40,000 objects, slewing the scope to any object in the sky is so easy, it makes an astronomer (like me!) weep!!
