Pros: small, lots of features-yet easy to use, big display, carrying strap.
Cons: when you record stuff, you cant hear it very clearly, bad headphones
The Bottom Line: Want a cheap decent MP3 player it is perfect. It plays high quality music, and if it will last long enough for you to enjoy all of its features.

| white_eskimo's Full Review: Coby MPC440 (128 MB) MP3 Player |
The COBY MP-C440 was the cheapest MP3 player i found at Fry's electronics. It has 128 MB of flash memory, which can hold about 30 songs of about 2 and a half minutes each. If you are ever in a situation in which you have to record something, the COBY MP-C440 has a built in microphone. There are different EQ modes (Jazz, Rock, Pop, etc)and other basic controls. Basically, the display is a good size, but it isnt backlit so you can not really use it at night time. The EQ settings are really cool, and they can make a big difference. One thing i really like about this MP3 player is that it was cheap, and it outputs a lot of clear sound when the volume is maxed out, so if you have your MP3 player connected to your car cassette player, you dont have to turn up your speakers at all. I also liked this MP3 player a lot because it was small. Ipods are way to big for me and i think that anyone who wants to store 40 gigs of music is insane (in a bad way...). The headphones that come along with the COBY MP-C440 are uncomfortable, but whatever at least they work fine unless you listen to music with a lot of bass. For the price, i would defienetly recommend buying this product.
