Pros: Small size, low price
Cons: Not compatible with CDRW
The Bottom Line: If you only intend on burning CDRs, then by all means get it. But if you were expecting to be able to reuse CDRWs, then avoid it.

| atsai3's Full Review: Compaq iPAQ PCD-1 Personal CD Player |
The PCD-1 is a great CD MP3 player in most all respects. However, the packaging (and the PDF manual) note that it is compatible with CDR and CDRW media. To my dismay I found that it is not compatible with CDRW media. I used DirectCD to transfer mp3 files directly onto CDRW, but the PCD-1 refuses to recognize the files. After some tooling around with the player and more dickering around with technical support, I think the solution is that it _is_ compatible with CDRW but only if you place .WAV files (not .MP3 files) onto the CDRW. But if you use DirectCD to transfer .WAV files, then you've got about 5 songs per mini-CDRW. Hardly the optimal way to go.
