| my2c's Full Review: Concord Camera Eye-Q Duo 2000 Digital Camera |
I've had this camera for almost a year and I have mixed feelings about it. I consider myself an intermediate to advanced amateur photographer so I'm picky about quality. My other camera is an old Canon AE-1 SLR, and I love manual cameras. At the same time I can't afford the $6500 EOS1Ds I would really like... in fact, I can't even afford a $300 Sony Cybershot. So I'm stuck with trying to choose the best of the low end cameras. At the price I paid for it ($99 at Walmart) I think I got my money's worth. With a little tweaking and creativity I'm able to do a lot with this camera. I printed photos that were taken with this camera and even at 8x10 they looked pretty good.
The flash works best if the lighting is very very low (as in almost dark)... otherwise it doesn't properly set the exposure and you end up with way overexposed photos if taken from closer than 8 ft or so.
I hold close-up lenses in front of it for macro work and it works fine (not superb, but ok.
It really lacks three things (all of which can't be expected for the price):
*Optical zoom
*A brighter LCD
*Apperture and speed control.
you can find samples of photos taken with my camera at:
