Motor died during second use

I wanted an immersion blender to make soup. I used this one twice before it died. It wasn't powerful enough to just stick in the cooking pot so I used the tall container with the blade attachment. It seemed to make easy work of pureeing soup, even though I had to process it in several batches. Unfortunately, about half way through I noticed that the blade attachment was wobbly. Upon examination I saw one of the plastic "gears" inside the attachment had broken off. I couldn't use that attachment anymore so I tried to use it in the cooking pot again since much of the soup was pureed already. That didn't last long as the unit just died a few minutes later. So much for the soup!

Considering I only paid about $20 for it, I wasn't about to pay shipping both ways for a warranty replacement. I'm going to look for a more powerful and durable model.
Amount Paid (US$): 20
