| MyThreeSons's Full Review: Cosco Juvenile Two Ways Tandem Stroller |
When I became pregnant with my third child my second child was only 9 months old. So even though I had 5 (no, that is not a typo) strollers I was obvious we would need a double stroller. I had umbrella strollers, full-size strollers, 4-in-1 carseat and strollers but no double strollers. As you can imagine I was not thrilled about spending more money on another stroller. So I was very pleased with myself to come across a Cosco Two Way Tandem stroller on a clearance sale for $30! Yes, $30 brand new. I knew mothers who were bragging about buying used double strollers at yard sales for $50. So maybe I shouldn't complain but I will anyway.
This stroller is terrible. It is difficult to fold down. It is <b?extremely</b> heavy to lift up. I can barely lift it by myself. It is also difficult to unfold. After several uses it doesn't seem to snap back into place very easily. This is quite frustrating when you are in a hurry.
It takes up a lot of room. We actually had to buy a van because this stroller would not fit in the trunk of our car! O.K. we were going to buy a van anyway but this speeded up that process. This stroller literally would not fit in a standard trunk, at least not of a Saturn. It still takes up all the back part of a van.
It drives terrible, the storage space is so difficult to get to it might as well not be there, and there is no cup holder and no way to extend the handle. The rear seat broke after very little usage and will not recline fully and the leg supporter can not be raised. I have got to the point that I only use this stroller to take walks in my neighborhood. That way I don't have to fold and unfold it. I let my 2 year old walk in the mall and so forth which is not an ideal solution. So even though I got a great price, I don't really have full use of a double stroller either. I would not recommend this to anyone, no matter what the price.
