zoomia's Full Review: Cowon Systems iAUDIO U2 (1 GB) MP3 Player
I bought this because I didn't need 20 gig of storage, wanted something small, and needed something that could record. The iCowon delivers.
I mainly use it to listen to podcasts. After download, I drag and drop files into the player -- very simple, you don't even have to use their software--and have at least 20 hours worth of programming. Then I listen to it as I go about chores, running, the gym, and dog park. When I've finished, I plug it in through the USB port, delete all the files and load it up again.
I see people lugging around mammoth iPods and wonder a) why they need that much music and b) why people spend so much. At $150, this baby's a bargain. It's small and light with good sound quality. I also use the recording feature to tape interviews, then transfer to my PC. The FM radio is decent, but I don't use it that much.
I got sick of the goofy dancing guy at startup, but deleted the file and now he's gone.
