Do not buy this product. I purchased this unit along with the WPN111 Rangemax USB adaptor.

Setup: 1 star out of 5
There is no documentation included, other than a piece of paper that tells you to insert the CD. Apparently, the CD guides you through all the steps necessary by following HTML pages. 2 Problems. The setup assumes that you do not have a router (I had an older Linksys 802.11b router) and second the flow of HTML pages requires you to deactivate all pop up blockers. How silly of me to have pop up blockers on my computer.
Anyway, the first "easy installation" resulted in my computer freezing and in need of a restart. After the restart, I was able to complete the setup, and after 3 tries at entering the setup, I was allowed into the web based setup html.

This unit is the absolute worst router I have ever owned. I have had it for 2 hours, and I can't wait to make the drive to Fry's to return it. I would already be on my way, but I am watching the AFC Championship game between Denver and New England. The WPN111 set up is about as bad as the WPN824. After several attempts to use the Netgear connectivity utility, I turned it off and used the Windows utility which Netgear recommends that you turn off. I was able to finally get online, only to be kicked off after 5 minutes. This went on for about an hour. Every 5 minutes or so, it would lose connection and I had to reenter my WPA password and wait, wait, wait for the device to acquire and address and connect. Besides that, the signal from my upstairs office was "low" and was always "good" with the ancient Linksys 802.11b router. The box maked you believe that you can drive your car around the block and receive a good signal, but this piece of junk was worse than the antique first generation Linksys unit I was replacing.

This is a good looking unit, until you power it on. Then you notice the disco gone bad LED lights that are flashing for no apparenent reason on top of the unit. There are 7 SUPER BRIGHT BLUE LED's on top of the unit which are supposed to give you a visual of what the 7 internal MIMO antennas are doing inside. It is the most annoying display I have ever seen. Apparently, Netgear feels that some if not most of us would object to the light display because they include a black piece of plastic to cover up the harassing display.

This unit retails for $129.99 and I purchased it for $99.99. Had this unit delivered stable performance (which it did not) and the range that it promised, it would have been a good value. It delivered neither and therefore is a complete waste of your time and money.
