I bought this product based on consumer reviews. I was in the market for one of the cheaper versions, but after reading reviews I changed my mind, and went for the Cuisinart. I hadn't had an electric skillet in roughly 10 or 15 years, but had an interest in buying one just to try out some new recipes for my husband and myself. It's just the two of us, so I am trying to make more 'one-pot meals'.
I have used it a couple of times and couldn't wait to write this review. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! At first glance I thought it would be too big for the two of us. It turns out that it's just the right size. I can cook four boneless breasts of chicken at once and still have room to spare. There are no hot spots or cold spots. All food is cooked evenly. It did take a little getting used to the temperature gauge...but once you get the hang of it, this thing is a breeze.
Clean up is a snap. For our first meal I sauteed some chicken and then topped with mango, broccoli and swiss cheese, I cringed when thinking about clean up. Then to my surprise! clean up was so easy. One swipe with a dish cloth and some soap!
I totally recommend this item! It would also be perfect for a new bride (or a not-so-new one like me!!)
