Pros: small, lightweight, SO easy to use
Cons: service cost, volume control only on the unit, not on remote
The Bottom Line: The technology is at least 2 yrs old on this. Check out others before purchasing this one.

| ndsugrad's Full Review: Panasonic DVD-LA85 7 in. Portable DVD Player |
The remote is slim and easy to use. Our oldest, 6 at the time, mastered it with ease. The headphone jack makes it easier to listen to over road noise in the car. We bought a headphone jack splitter so our two older children could both listen to the movie.
When open, there isn't much wasted space. This is only slightly larger than a DVD case, so it's very easy to transport
It comes with all the cables needed to use this as your home DVD player, if you would like.
If you use it in the car for more than one movie, I would recommend getting an AC voltage adapter for your car. The battery will last for slightly longer than one movie fully charged.
Panasonic will not divulge their service information to local repair shops, so expect at least a month wait time and a hefty price for repair ($45 diagnostic fee and the average repair cost is $155).
