I was told that panasonic has not caught up yet in DVD laser technology whatever that means....but basically the sales guy said dvd players always ran into problems a year or two after use i.e. inability to read discs, read errors and others. that's why i bought a pioneer instead which reads everything i throw at it.
anyways, thanks for rating my camera review most helpful :)
