Pros: Good bang for the buck (with the new lower price).
Cons: No gold connectors for 5.1.
The Bottom Line: I have no regrets buying this unit.

I have to say I'm impressed with the the level of functionality and quality. It's a nice light unit with a slim profile that won't take up much space. It has all the basic functions and them some. The menu system is easy to use, but you should be sure to read the manual first the clarify some of the items, especially when it comes to setup. I don't know why, but they only but the load button for the disc explorer on the unit itself and not the remote (although I may have missed it). I guess they assume you'll only want to hit the button when you load a new DVD/CD. Unlike the specs listed on this site, it does have the jog/shuffle capability and is video CD capable (though I've never tried it). I only wish that they had used gold connectors on the 5.1 outputs but that would have made the unit a little pricey. I've had no quality problems with the unit, worked from day 1. It detects DVD/CD difference almost right away. I do wish they had made it able to understand the CD remote signals however. It's annoying using the DVD remote to control the "CD" and another for the amp.
