Pros: Price, features
Cons: Video quality, (not so great) ease of use.
The Bottom Line: I think this DVD player is good, but it was not the right choice for me. Don't always buy for the brand.

| centauri's Full Review: Sony DVP-NS315 DVD Player |
The picture is grainy, probably the digital-analog decoder and I tried all possible settings to try to attenuate these artifacts, I couldn't.
The controls for the DVD players on-screen settings are terrible. The use of icons (small pictures supposed to represent a concept) instead of plain language and small menus is ambiguous and confusing. Unless you have your manual with you, you can't operate this DVD player without trial and error. That's BAD. The remote is not great either, but then again, I have yet to find a good DVD player remote.
I returned the DVD player and got another one instead. I can appreciate the difference in quality between both. And the other one is the same price as the Sony.
Don't always buy for the brand.
