I came across DX-Ball 2 through a site offering various free games. Most of the others were rather crude or were leads to bigger games that were unsatisfying in length. DX-Ball2 is a lead in (more boards are sold in sets of 150 for $14.95 each) but it is far from unsatisfying.

If you ever enjoyed breakout or similar games then this is one you've got to try out. It comes complete with 6 sets of 4 boards and is fully functional. It even has a childrens setting which alters the game to make it more easily played by children. The artwork and music are high quality and the game plays like a dream. I have already spent hours on the game and have yet to beat all of the levels in the original free-pack.

In the past I have had the opportunity to play other games by this company and they have never let me down. They work hard at keeping their games current and playable and this one is no exception. I hadn't seen anything from them in a couple of years (my fault not theirs) and so was very happy for the chance to become reacquainted. Check out this game and others on their website.

As a note to those who may not care for this type of game. This one is worth the effort to try out and if you should decide that you don't like it it will have cost you only a little time.
