Good mp3 player if used with Compact Flash Card

The Bottom Line: It is out of date today but I would still recommend it if you use CF cards

Two years ago I started to look for mp3 player using Compact Flash card. The reason was my Canon S45 digital camera which uses that type of flash memory cards. The choice was not hard to make since only a few models I found on web and I ended up with this Daisy Multimedia Diva (32 MB) MP3 Player. Let's look at it closer and I start from cons.
1. First what I noticed immediately was a weak plastic case. I was not mistaken: battery cover was broken after about 10 battery changes even though I tried to proceed carefully.
2. LCD display quality could be better: some parts of its were out from time to time so menu or scrolling song title were not fully displayed.
3. Internal memory use is almost meaningless for two reasons:
(i) USB 1.1 transfer speed is very very slow;
(ii) 32MB is ridiculously small and not worth to wait uploading with such a slow transfer speed.
Solution of (i) and (ii) is use of CF Card with your own card reader which can give you faster transfer speed even for USB 1.1 compared to the player itself.
Now about POSITIVE moments I liked:
1. Sound quality is very good. I don't see it worse than Iriver or TDK MOJO mp3 players.
2. Good bitrate range upto 320 kbit/s with both constant and variable.
2. Customizable equalizer settings.
3. Battery life is fairly good.
4. Small player size and weight.
5. Upto 1GB Compact Flash card which is easy eject and insert.
Overall, I have been using my player for two years and satisfied with it for money paid.
