I got this little dishwasher because I had a high risk baby who had to have everything sanitized. It worked great for about 2 months & then started smoking out the back with the smell of burning electrical wire. We took it back & exchanged it for a new one.
This one worked about 4 months and then the drain pump went out. Spent 3 weeks at a repair show 1 & 1/2 hours drive away while waiting for parts. After the repair it worked about 6 months before the same thing happened again...back to the repair shop. Then the selection dial started sticking (not a huge problem as long as you have time to sit there and watch the stupid thing all day), it stopped cleaning the dishes very well, and finally started smoking like the first one did. At this point it was only 2 months out of waranty & when I called customer service they told me I was out of my mind & they had never had prolems with them smoking. The cost of the repair was more than 3/4 of the cost of a new dishwasher, and now the dumb thing is not working again.
I cleaned this thing monthly the entire time I owned it with actual dishwasher cleaner, vinegar, and baking soda, plus two cleanings at the shop & it still required major repairs every 6 months.
