Pros: Nice Screen. Great Price!
Cons: Heavy, and a little buggy
The AXIM came at the right price, and with enough bells and whistles to satisfy. The screen is very bright and crisp, even with the screen protectors in place.
While it does not come with wireless built in, between the SD and CF slots, I have been able to accomodate a 802.11b wireless adapter, a Margi presentation card, a 512 CF expansion card, a 256mb SD expansion card, and a stupid little camera (more on that in another review). I use the PDA for everything, literally, including gaming - wireless internet, sales presentations, MP3 player on the road, etc. The battery is also very nice, long lasting, rechargable.
Now... the buttons are worthless, especially the large multi-directional/functional button - which is soft. My initial product did not work out of the box, but it was replaced without hassle by Dell. The sound recording feature is very poor quality. It seems to "lock up" frequently, requiring hard-resets... but nothing more catastrophic than that. I find the synch-software to be troublesome, but that is not the fault of Dell or the Axim.
Overall, I like the product and would buy it again. Given the price, it is hard to complain.
