Had a 8385 Compaq go South due to screen problems and the repair was to be $185.00. Bought the Dell for X5 for less than $300. Very much a power user and the X5 fits the bill alot more than I ever expected for the money. Nice expansion capabilities without clunky packs, it is built in. I use the CF slot for wireless internet access via a CF card and it works great. The SD slot also very handy for added storage. The 400 Mhz processor is also a plus. The software package is also very nice. The transition form the Compaq was pain free and a lot less expensive. I would strongly recommend to all my associates who currently use the Compaq or the Hp to switch when their machine dies .Great product
