I have NEVER owned a PDA before buying the Dell Axim. I was a little worried about whether I would use it or not. The last thing I wanted to do was buy a $400 paper weight.
I made sure that I got a PDA with all the bells and whistles for both fun and business.
So do I use it still? Yes. Do I use it for business? Not as much as I thought.
I LOVE my PDA for listening to MP3s at the gym. I bought a 256k SD card and I have TONS of music on my PDA. I have flown a lot this year and it is awesome to have all that music to listen to on flights. I can even listen to music while someone else plays games.
I also love the travel info that is stored in there everytime I connect to the computer, there are airline flight numbers, and all kinds of travel related info. For travel this thing is the best.
I even got the 802.11b wifi card so I could use it with my home network. It is pretty annoying to access the internet with a PDA so I usually only use my laptop or notebook. After you scroll up and down and see you will know what I mean.
Since I'm working on a closed system here at work and can't hook the Axim up to my work PC I think I use it less because of this. Whenever I want to add anything I have to do it at home or by hand. I also sit in front of a PC all day so I don't need a PDA during work hours.
All in all I would buy it again but I don't use it as much for work as I thought I would.
