Pros: Need something basic for school or work? get it!
Cons: wish it came with a floppy, but a memory stick does a better job.

| bibleteacher's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 1100 (1100RS1) PC Notebook |
Ok, so I looked and looked and looked for a budget laptop. Most mfg.'s have all the bells and whistles and I wasn't looking for those! I just wanted a BASIC notebook so I could do computing from the bedroom, plane or wherever. My kids tend to dominate the desktop so I kind of gave up. My 1100 came with 14.1 screen, 20gb hd, 2.4ghz celeron, dvd/cd-rw. I got it for $674.00 after $100 rebate. Everything works as advertised and I am thrilled. Watching dvd's is great, I don't mind the 14.1 screen at all. I believe the 3 major things people are griping about this notebook is:
Dell support (lack of)--and I hope I never have to call.
Power for playing games. Well, what DO you want for under $700???
Heavy-this this lasts longer than HP, Gateway, Toshiba!
