| ray_tara's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 1100 (1100RS3) PC Notebook |
I just got my Dell Inspiron 1100 in last week and I've hardly used my old desktop since. I bought it from Dell's Outlet, so this one is a refurbished model. That is just fine with me, since Dell's refurbished models are completely tested and have the same 1 year warranty as new models. Plus I saved a bunch of money. I got it for $583 + $45 shipping. It came with a 2 gigahertz Intel Celeron, 40 GB hard drive, DVD player, 12 cell battery, 14 inch LCD, and 128 MB RAM. I bought another 256 MB RAM SODIMM for $50, which really improves performance. The screen is clear and the keyboard is crisp. The touch pad is a bit sensitive at first, but is adjustable in Control Panel and you get better with practice. I also added a wireless PC Card for $50 so I can surf freely around the house. I am no longer tied to my desktop in the corner and love the freedom. I highly recommend!
