| galileo365's Full Review: Hewlett Packard Pavilion 512n (P8561A#ABA) PC Desk... |
When my old PC went bad, I was bummin' because I had an online business plus I was enrolled in a college course and needed a good grade. Thank God my Dad took pity on me and helped me get a new PC. We saw this one advertised at Best Buy here in Cleveland for a really good price.
This PC is good for getting the job done, but not too much else. It's not your "power gaming PC" It has a decent video card, sound card etc,, but if you're looking for something for high end graphics and such,, then you're looking at the wrong PC. This one is good for getting the job done (IE. surfing the net, playing movies, playing music, writing up documents, email and other things of that nature) If you're looking for good graphics and sound,, this one is not the computer of your dreams.
This computer so far has been very durable. I did have to add memory to it when I first got it because it was way too slow to even handle most highly graphical web sites. After the memory was added,, even though it's still slow as a snail,, it still gets the job done.
The computer comes with a 1.4 gig Intel celeron processor, 128 MB of memory a 60 gig hard drive, and a DVD/CD-RW and an expansion slot in the front to add another drive.
The case is attractive unlike my old clunky looking one so it goes good with the decor of the apartment. (Not like anyone REALLY cares!) The PC came with the mouse, keyboard and a set of really crappy speakers. (Thankfully I have a nicer set instead.
The downfall of this computer is there isn't much space to add any memory. There's two slots and thats it. There'sd also only one expansion slot and when that's used,, that's it. You can't really do much upgrading to this thing because everything is on the motherboard from what I was told.
If you're looking for a good system at a low price, this is a good PC. It's good for those just learning how to use one and it's good for those who don't play a lot of high end graphical games.
