Diablo II is a mutliplayer and singleplayer roleplaying game! The roleplay it offers is hack and slash, magic, kill monsters type roleplay with many quests and a plot. It provides a lot of replay value and great features! The graphics are on the low side, but that's made up with by the gameplay.
Diablo II offers many classes, each with it's own traits and abilities. Amazon mainly uses bow and arrow or javalin (spear). Barbarian is a brute-force type guy who likes to use axes, axe/sword and shield, or most popular, two swords. He also comes with many calls which allow him to raise his stats and other stuff, or lower the enemy's stats. He can also scare or taunt a monster. The Paladin is great with sword and shield type meelee combat! He has many auras that he can use to raise the stats of himself and his group, or damage his foes. The Necromancer is able to raise the dead, send you bone-like spells, and deal damage through meelee combat. Last, but not least, the Sorceress has the ability to use magic as a weapon and as defense! She can teleport easily, or just telekentically grab things from a distance.
Together, all of these classes in a unique way help each other. Each comes with their own skills. You can raise the skill level every time your character levels up. They also come with stats such as Life, Stamina (for running), and Mana (for magic). With each level, you can also increase your stats, which include the above, and defense. Each makes your character more and more unique.
There are many great items throughout the game, each with it's unique qualities. The items you can use are; amulet, helmet, weapon, armor, shield, gloves, 2 rings, a belt (for storing potions), and boots.
Along on you're journey, you'll meet many great NPCs with their very own personality! They each have a unique voice, and provide much help.
I love this game. I haven't had any problems with it to my knowledge. The loading time isn't too fast, but it's not too slow as to bum me out. The graphics aren't the greatest, but they suffice when you get into the gameplay. As for sound, it's nice. It comes with music, which I turned off, but the sound effects are nice. The theme of the game is dark, so sometimes it's hard to see, but you can always fix that by editing the video qualities. Overall, I think this is a great game for those who enjoy Roleplay, adventure, and quest games!
