Finepix A700 Still Going Strong (Reply to this comment)

Great review.
We acquired our A700 in 2003. It's now the spring of 2008 and it's still shooting photos. It's been dropped over the years, but the thing has held up well. With a picture count of 6000 on ours, it has been a good one. I'd like to get a new model with a 10x or more optical zoom. I'll stay with the Fuji brand and hope the new one holds up as well as this one.

F700 FUJI digital ONLY LASTED ONE YEAR (Reply to this comment)

We bought this camera the end of September 2003 and it lasted only one year. On October 15th this year, I went to use it (it had worked fine two days before) and on this day the LCD screen was nothing but a blur. I took it to the THAILAND Fuji repair center and they told me the CCD Sensor was bad and needed to be replaced...it would cost me 300.00 USD. The camera cost me 500.00 USD...it is basically a DISPOSABLE camera since it broke in just a little over one year.
For all its wonderful qualities...and I raved to everyone how wonderful it was; I would not recommend buying this camera.
