Thank you for your kind words. The C740 is definitely a viable (and very good) choice, but you should probably also look at the Minolta Z1 (very similar features) before you make your final decision.

What an EXCELLENT review! This is the best camera review I've ever read. Do you know, by chance, whether this is still the best affordable 10x optical zoom camera available? The industry seems to change so fast...

I'd love to review it and I will if and when I can get my hands on one.

Thanks

Question for Howard Creech (Reply to this comment)
by magicnmystery
I am a big fan of your digital camera reviews. You are incredibly thorough, and have made me reconsider some of my options. Your review played a big part in my purchase of the Minolta Dimage F100. I am now looking at the Canon sd100. I like it because it is small (I want to drop it in my pocket or purse and take it with me) and it uses the same kind of media (SD/MMC) as the Minolta. Are you planning to review this camera? I have yet to see any reviews and I don't want to buy it without knowing how it will perform.
THanks!

have over a million hits? And you think that last line is necessary?? Seriously it's not. Hope you didn't catch a cold! Oh, any suggestions on why my profile pic, a second one, is so small?

Howard this, as usual, was fabulous. I truly love reading your reviews. The hands-on experiences are worth their weight in gold.

Thanks, again. I enjoyed the flashes!
