Pros: Decent pictures and an o.k. software package; firewire is nice
Cons: Extremely expensive, terrible and rude customer support and repair
The Bottom Line: Buy this camera if you are willing to pay a lot in the beginning and a lot on repairs. Otherwise, buy a real camera like a Nikon or Canon Digital

| ericrazavi's Full Review: Olympus Camedia C-750 Ultra Zoom Digital Camera |
This camera takes great pictures and comes with a decent software package, but I have had the camera in two times for repair to Olympus. I had a faulty optical zoom the first time around...Olympus in Cypress, CA said that nothing was wrong, yet they sent it back and it suddenly worked again. Must have been the UPS guy who fixed it. I did spend $20 to insure the darn thing when I shipped it out. Now, over Thanksgiving weekend, the four menus cursor buttons suddenly stopped working. Nothing I could do would get those buttons working. I tried resetting the camera, taking the batteries out, etc...nothing, nothing, nothing. And you can't run the camera without those all-important buttons. So I had to send the darn camera back again, with still about two weeks left on the one-year warranty. Another $20 for shipping and insurance!!! I just got a letter saying that there was "liquid damage to the main circuit board" and that this was not covered under warranty. Now you have to understand...I baby my small electronics. They all have padded cases, and I am extra careful not expose them to the elements. And I never, ever let them out of my site.
So after all of this...what was the cost of repair by Olympus in Cypress, CA???? A whopping $165!!!! I figure with that cost and the two shipping charges of $20, I could buy a new Nikon, Canon, or Sony. I should have bought one of those to begin with, but with all the good reviews here, I thought I would go out on a limb. So I will now have a broken camera in my closet...maybe I will donate it before the end of the year!!!
And to tell you the truth, I must have taken 3-400 pictures total. For the cost, I could have had a professional photographer follow me around taking my pictures.
You know you can never beat a Nikon or Canon!!!!!!!!
In the end, I wrote a long letter to Olympus Corporate...they sent me a letter stating that they reviewed my case...verdict...pay the $165!!! I will let them have their stinking camera. I will use the $165 and buy a real camera! Too bad, because I really enjoyed using the camera. It is a shame that customer support has to be such a bunch of morons. You would think with a big name like Olympus, they would have some kind of leniency to to these issues....
