Everything was great with this camera until about 13 months after I bought it. I plugged in the USB cord one day and it quit working. The green power light flashes when the power button is touched and that is it. Sony quotes a flat rate of $171 to fix it as I only had the standard 12 month warranty. From what I've read in other reviews, be careful of the standard warranty as it sounds like there are even problems with that. A local authorized Sony repair shop told me that most shops don't fix small cameras and they would have to send it to Sony, which would be the same as sending it myself as far as cost. Consider buying a "replacement" warranty at a store (if you can afford it).
One more thing that sucks is the Sony Memory Stick. Now I've got $100 worth of cards that won't work in any other brand of camera. So either I reward Sony for their junk breaking down and buy another one of their products, or throw away my memory cards. At least most other brands of memory cards work in some other camera.
It was a good camera. Now it's time to "Office Space" it.
