| kisa4u's Full Review: Vivitar ViviCam 3745 Digital Camera |
Johmbuk left a very good detailed review of this camera, titled
"Not a very good camera. Spend a little more and get a much better camera."
I too bought this camera at walmart.com for $228 which came with the 128 sd card. The camera itself was pretty bulky and went through the 4 AA batteries after about 50 pics. The camera was easy to use but the quality of the pictures was not very good.
I went out and bought a Kodak EasyShare 3.1MP Digital Camera - CX6330, and took the same exact pictures with it and compared them to the Vivitar. Not even close the vivitar pictures would be very grainy while the Kodax pics would be very sharp and clear. Note that the vivitar setting was on "Best" and the Kodak was only on "good". The Kodak was smaller, used only 2 AA's, and was even cheaper, now about $200.
So my advice is to steer clear of this Vivitar camera and any other digital that they make and take a look at a Kodak, Sony, Fuji.
