Pros: Many cool features, inexpensive, well supported firmware.
Cons: Larger than most MP3 players.
The Bottom Line: Full featured inexpensive hard-drive based MP3 player. If you don't mind the slightly larger size, I would highly recommend it.

| chenley's Full Review: Digital Innovations Neuros HD (20 GB) MP3 Player |
I've used my PDA as an MP3 player for years now and occasionally looked at dedicated MP3 players but they were always too expensive for what they offered.
Then I came across this lesser-known 20GB player on sale for $200. When you look at the other features you get for $200, it's quite a bargain. The Neuros has a built in digital FM tuner. You can record from the tuner to the hard drive but the more useful feature is song identification. You press one button to record a 30 second clip. Once you sync up with your computer the sync software goes out to a database and identifies the song and artist for you. Very handy.
Another slick feature allows you to broadcast your songs over an unused FM frequency. Although you get a lower sound quality and some static, it works well in your car or if you want to take it to a friend's house for a party.
You are also able to manage your playlists on the MP3 player while away from your computer. Once you sync up all changes are made at that time.
The company that sells this unit also has a very close relationship with the end users. They utilize a forum on their website to get input from their customers on features they'd like to see added to the updatable firmware. Changes seem to be made every 3 months and accurately reflect the "wish lists" of the end user.
Although this unit is slightly bigger than the Ipod and some other units, the additional features and price outweigh this.
