| degrees's Full Review: Dual Electronics XDM-6800 Car CD/ MP3 Player |
I tried to buy a new face plate (mine went dark). I emailed their customer support, cs@dualav.com, and never got an answer. Three (business) days later I telephoned them - the guy on the phone told me I had to send email to customer support to get a new face plate. I emailed them again - and again I got blown off (no reply, ever).
My son bought the deck, because it was cheap. But when the faceplate went dark, he bought a 'real' CD player and gave this one to me. My thinking was that if I could get a replacement face plate, it would be fine. I installed it, and then tried to get the face plate. Whoops.
Sound-wise, it is o.k., and I like that it plays MP3's. It does get confused - sometimes it skips chunks of sound during a MP3 playback; but if I replay the same song, the second time the song is fine in its entirety (so I know it is not the MP3 file).
