i currently own a 400i and find it an excellent choice for the money. although it has only two pci slots(one is taken by the modem) and two isa slots it still is a good buy. my roommate just got a dell with a pentium 3 and although it is faster it is hardly noticeable to the average user. the downside to these computers is that the 75 dollar rebate took about a month longer than expected to come in the mail though. another bad thing is the time taken for the replacement to come, it took about an extra week than i expected. however the technical support provided from emachines is pretty good.
