Pros: Flat screen, no glare, wide field of view, fantastic picture, easy remote, many features.
Cons: Built in speakers not powerful or high quality (I use a home system though)
The Bottom Line: What I paid and the satisfaction received merits an excellent recommendation.
$200.00 bucks isn't going to get you a 27" flat screen with the other high profile brand names.

| triple_irons's Full Review: Emerson EWF2703 27 inch TV |
It is difficult to see the screen completely when you're standing off to the side of a normal picture tube, I was constantly closing lights and curtains to reduce glare, well guess what, help is here, with the Emerson EWF2703 27 flat screen TV theres no glare at all, curtains and lights can stay on if I like, and theres not a bad seat in the room, all this is due to the flat screen, (it actually concaves inward slightly) When I stand four or five feet off to the side, its like Im still directly in front of the screen, simply amazing. And it looks cool too.
I dont have a lot of money to spend, and wanted a decent size screen. Two years ago I buy a used 27 RCA at the Superpawn for $125.00, the tube went dark last week. No pawnshop this time, the wife made me promise that if we ever buy another TV, it will be new, to quote my wife, a real one. Ive always liked the look of the flat screen, but with $200.00 to spend it looked like I would be stuck with the same old bulbous tube, but thanks to the Emerson EWF2703 27 TV, I get my cake and eat it too.
I havent had to sacrifice a thing; the picture quality is fantastic for a tube TV. All the inputs I need are there, even S-video. Ive got cable from the wall to the VCR, then from VCR to television. DVD player to television. Audio from VCR, and DVD, out to home system. Im sure it wont be the same for everyone but I just wanted to show how easy it was for me to hook up, I didnt even open the manual. But for the sake of the review I have looked the manual over completely and am happy to report that it contains all the information I need and is easy to read and understand. Here are some of the specs from the detail view and some I have added additionally from the manual.

Auto shut off
If there is no signal input from the antenna terminal and no user operation for 15 minutes, the TV will turn itself off automaticall
Resume Function
If the power fails or is disconnected while the tv is on, the tv will turn on automatically when the power resumes. (How lazy am I?)
And dont forget the V-Chip
I dont have a video game console system, but the function is supported on the front of the unit. There is also a sleep timer that allows you up to 90 min of set time.
It has a silver/gray polymer finish; pretty sleek looking for a large square. Easy to clean (instructions in manual), I particularly like that the air venting is underneath the back of the tube, dust builds up quickly here in the high desert and its not getting inside this TV.
Recommendation
The price I paid and the satisfaction I have received thus far merits an excellent rating for the Emerson EWF2703 27 TV. I looked at a couple of other less expensive 27 non flat tube televisions and almost went with a semi-flat for 30.00 dollars less, but I wanted flat flat, and who ever heard of Durobrand or bond, whatever. And there are better name brands out there, but at least Ive heard of Emerson, and $200.00 bucks isnt going to get you a 27 flat screen with the other high profile brand names.
