I bought this charger for $10 when I bought my digital camera. The batteries that this charger is made for are $10 for 4 AA's. I am confident that my $20 investment has paid for itself time and time again.

I like the charger because of its ease of use and compact size. Because of its size and style, it is very easy to pull it out, open it up, put the batteries in, and plug it in. The charger hugs the wall, as the prongs of the plug that go in the electrical outlet support the unit on the wall. This is especially convenient because it eliminates the need for a power cord. If it had a power cord I would find it quite cumbersome.

There is a small pull down lever which will convert this AA charger into a AAA charger. This could be convenient if I had AAA batteries, but I do not.

Many people find the fact that you have to charge four batteries to be bothersome. I also found this irritating. To remedy this problem, I bought another four pack of batteries. I discharge two pair in my camera and then charge them. As those are charging I put my other set of four in my camera case.

The batteries do take a very long time to charge. I am not sure how long it actually takes. I have heard they can take as long as 15 hours to charge. I always plug mine in in the evening, and I wake up and they are charged. Fortunately, there is an indicator light which goes out when the batteries are fully charged.

I would recommend these batteries to anyone. They have gone through many charge cycles and are still strong as ever after three years. Since every time I charge a set of four, I would otherwise be buying another pack of batteries for my camera, I know I have saved lots of money.

I wish I could explain how long these batteries last. I am not entirely sure. My camera tends to sit for long periods of time in my cold car in the winter. This is hard on batteries and they lose their charge. I recently went on a trip and took 196 pictures, and I only had the batteries that were in the camera, and an extra set in the case. Not bad for four batteries.
