Pros:Sound, Craftsmanship, Price, Lifetime Warranty!!!!!!!
Cons:Haven't found any.....
The Bottom Line: This guitar is a great investment at twice the price. The attention to detail is superb for an "assembly line" instrument.
I received an EJ - 200SCE as a replacement for my AJ-18SCE that had a bad neck. I returned the AJ under the lifetime warranty, and wound up with the EJ, in Ebony finish. This is the first / only time I've ever been glad that a guitar I owned turned out to be a lemon.... The sound, craftsmanship and playability of the EJ is superb. I have the Acoustic / Electric version w/gold hardware. The warm sound and great tonal quality comes through, plugged or unplugged. The guitar feels good around your neck and has the strap peg on the back of the body, at the base of the neck so you don't have to fool around tying a string above the nut. The action is perfect. The on board graphic eq gives you versatility of sound when playing electrically. Make sure you back down your volume, as the pickup is quite powerful. The quality of construction is much better and beefier than similar instruments at twice the price. The looks match the sound. Beautiful Mother of Pearl inlay on the fretboard and High Gloss Black finish on the body, which stands up to use. The flowery pick guard was the only thing I didn't like at first, but even that has grown on me. It stands out and draws attention to the rest of the guitar, which is a work of art!! Excellent sound / looks for under $500.00. The Epi hardshell case is worth the extra few bucks, too. Fits like a glove and stands up to gigs / practice sessions with ease. FIVE STARS FOR THE EJ!!!!!
