The Epiphone EJ-200 is a very easy fretting, quick action acoustic guitar. I enjoy the feel in my hand. My version has a Barcus-Berry micro-pickup installed, with the jack in the back strap knob. Coupled with a Feedback Buster in the sound port, it makes for a very clean-sounding guitar on stage. When I run mine through my 1960 Gibson GSS-50 amp, it sounds a bit like a Fender Jaguar. I prefer using Martin Marquis strings in the medium-light range as I don't like to work to fret a guitar. The guitar is built nicely and is well-crafted. The strings are low to the neck for increased speed of action, and I don't have fret buzz problems even with the action as low as it is. The body is built just as well and has a very nice natural resonance and sustain for an acoustic. It is available with several custom options, but even the basic style sounds great and plays just as well. I think it is priced a little on the high side, but quality is what you pay for. I am just as comfortablw with the EJ in my living room, on the stage or in the studio, as it sounds great anywhere you pick it up. I would recommend the Epiphone EJ-200 to anyone who prefers a quality acoustic guitar for any application.
