Pros:Very cheap. Looks better on stage than any other guitar known to man.
Cons:Well, its not exactly a Gibson is it....
The Bottom Line: Beautiful to look at, great value, and a pleasure to play.

This guitar looks even better in real life than it does in the photos - trust me. I'm looking at mine right now. The "sunburst" finish actually looks more like a very red mahogany, and contrasts beautifully with the white scratchplate. Its shorter and lighter than you'd think as well. Mine was bought new (albeit very cheaply - £225)and I sent away for it, therefore not knowing exactly which guitar I was getting beforehand. It ended up having a slightly rough looking fretboard, not a massive problem, but I'm not sure whether its just mine or something that occurs on others too. The paint on the tailpiece was also scratched off in places - not a feature I realise, but proof that it comes off pretty easily. Also, despite it not being the heaviest bass I've ever played, it IS neck heavy - something that many players don't like - especially plectrum users who aren't holding onto the body.

On the positive side it is definitely the most rock and roll looking guitar ever, along with the firebird. Slung-low these babies make you look like a god on stage. The string action is really nice - really loose and relaxed - not overly sensitive which is something I tend not to like on really expensive guitars. Again, contrary to what I expected, its got quite a "bouncy" tone - rich, full and not a hint of buzz or twang. Knock the treble off and you get a lovely soft rumble. The fretboard action is wonderful - incredibly responsive and comfortable to play for long periods of time.

To sum up - I love this guitar. Its not perfect, I'm guessing the Gibson surpasses it in a few ways, but then again - the epiphone may have some superior features. For its price (especially the price I got it for) its a semi-professionals dream. Its also the sexiest looking guitar ever made. Nuff said.
